Dogra Law College proudly hosted Dogra Law Fest 3.0; a grand celebration of talent, culture, and legal scholarship under the guidance of Chair-person Dogra Educational Trust, Smt. Surekha Charak.
This highly anticipated event focussed on a drug-free environment besides providing an inspiring platform for students to showcase their extraordinary skills.
The occasion was graced by the distinguished presence of Sh. Shridhar Patil (IPS), DIG Jammu-Samba-Kathua Range, who attended as the Chief Guest. In his address, he extended his heartfelt appreciation to the Chairperson of the Trust for providing a meaningful platform to engage with young minds on a matter of critical social importance. He emphasized that such initiatives by educational institutions play a vital role in sensitizing students about the growing menace of drug abuse. He further highlighted the significant role that students can play as responsible citizens in strengthening the Drug-Free Environment Drive, urging them to act as ambassadors of awareness within their communities. He encouraged the youth to remain vigilant, make informed choices, and contribute proactively towards building a healthier and safer society.
Dr. Samar Dev Singh Charak, Secretary of Dogra Educational Trust, addressed the gathering and reiterated the institution’s deep-rooted commitment to working alongside the administration in creating a drug-free society; a message that resonated strongly with everyone present. Sh. R. S. Katal, Member of the Governing Body, Dogra Educational Trust, reflected on the need to strike a thoughtful balance between preserving our rich cultural heritage and embracing the advancements of modern education. He also lauded the sincere efforts of the students in organizing the event, acknowledging their role in shaping a brighter and more responsible future for the region.
Sh. Pradeep Singh Sen, SDPO Bari Brahmana, Sh. Sandeep Singh Chib, SHO Bari Brahmana, Sh. Satish Bhagat, renowned Dogri Folk Singer, and Mr. Sahaj Sabarwal, Social Media Influencer attended the function as Special Guests. The event was also graced by Advocate Gambhir Dev Singh Charak, Member Trustee, Dogra Educational Trust, Dr. Bela Thakur and Dr. Dharamveer Sharma, Director and Dean Dogra Group of Colleges respectively.The function was also graced by Principals, staff and students of Dogra Law College, Dogra Degree College and Dogra College of Education.
The event commenced with a warm welcome address by Ms. Khushi Gupta, followed by the ceremonial lighting of the lamp. The accompanying soulful rendition of Saraswati Vandana set an auspicious tone for the day’s proceedings. The event featured captivating performances, including a captivating skit highlighting drug abuse and menace, vibrant dance by Tamana Rajput, soulful songs by Yogita and KeizaRose, heartfelt Shayari by Justice Jaskirat Singh, and energetic dance performances by students. The cultural spirit of the fest was further enriched by a special performance by renowned Dogri folk singer Mr. Satish Bhagat.The Hook Steps Contest (Girls) was won by Ms. Tamana Rajput. The Treasure Hunt was won by the team of Surya, Eklavya, and Ramneek Kour, while the Push-Ups Competition (Boys) was won by Eklavya. The festivities continued with music and food stalls arranged by the students of extra-curricular activity committee.
The Dogra Law Fest 2026 organized by Dogra Law College was a resounding success, uniting students, faculty, and guests in a day full of celebration, inspiration, and talent.
