Ai+ Smartphone has announced the launch of Project Trust+, a new security initiative aimed at building what it describes as India’s safest smartphone ecosystem through active participation from the technology community.
As part of the programme, the company has committed ?100 crore over the next five years, investing ?20 crore annually to encourage ethical hackers, developers and independent security researchers to identify vulnerabilities and help improve the security of its devices.
The initiative marks a significant step in the company’s approach to smartphone security by inviting experts from outside the organisation to rigorously test its systems and security architecture.
Instead of relying solely on internal assessments, Ai+ wants the wider technology community to actively participate in finding weaknesses before they can affect consumers. The company believes this collaborative approach will help create a more secure and resilient smartphone ecosystem.
According to Ai+, Project Trust+ is based on the belief that cybersecurity is an ongoing process rather than a one-time achievement.
With smartphones becoming increasingly central to people’s personal and professional lives, the company says security challenges continue to evolve, making continuous testing and improvement essential. The initiative is designed to promote transparency, accountability and cooperation among developers, ethical hackers and security researchers.
Commenting on the announcement, Madhav Sheth, CEO of Ai+ Smartphone and Founder of NxtQuantum Shift Technologies, said that no smartphone, platform or technology ecosystem can claim to be permanently secure because cyber threats continue to change.
He said Project Trust+ reflects the company’s commitment to proving its security standards through transparency rather than simply making claims. By opening its systems to India’s technology community, the company hopes to build greater trust among users while continuously strengthening its products. Project Trust+ also aligns with Ai+’s broader focus on privacy, transparency and user ownership, which form the foundation of its sovereign mobile operating system initiative, NxtQuantum OS.
The company believes that involving independent experts in the security process will help create stronger protection for users and establish a new benchmark for smartphone security in India. Applications for the programme are being accepted through the link provided on Madhav Sheth’s official Instagram profile.
Through this initiative, Ai+ aims to encourage continuous public participation in improving smartphone security, reinforcing its message that trust is built through openness, collaboration and constant improvement rather than promises alone.
