Prominent social activist and Chairman of the Samvedna Society, Keshav Chopra, met with Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Jammu, Joginder Singh (JKPS), to discuss several key issues concerning law enforcement and community welfare. During the meeting, Keshav Chopra lauded the proactive approach of the Jammu Police in maintaining law and order, particularly in tackling the growing menace of drug abuse and crime in the region.
Expressing his appreciation for SSP Jammu’s leadership, Keshav Chopra acknowledged the commendable work done under his guidance, leading to the arrest of several drug peddlers and notorious criminals. He also praised the Jammu Police for their swift action in solving the Greater Kailash robbery case, highlighting the efficiency and dedication of the force. He emphasized that the people of Jammu are fortunate to have a police team led by an honest and humble officer who prioritizes public welfare.
During the discussion, Keshav Chopra reiterated Samvedna Society’s commitment to working alongside Jammu & Kashmir Police in their mission to create a crime-free and drug-free society. He assured that his organization would continue to support the police in their awareness campaigns, rehabilitation efforts, and initiatives aimed at guiding the youth away from the path of addiction and crime.
SSP Jammu Joginder Singh, in response, reaffirmed the commitment of the Jammu Police to serve the people round the clock. He stated that the police are actively working to eradicate the drug menace, curb theft incidents, and enhance security measures across the district. He also highlighted various awareness campaigns organized by the police to educate the youth about the dangers of drug abuse, stressing the importance of community participation in combating crime. The SSP further appreciated the role of civil society organizations like Samvedna Society in raising awareness, supporting victims, and collaborating with law enforcement to promote a safer environment. He expressed gratitude for their willingness to contribute to social causes and encouraged more organizations and individuals to join hands with the police in their fight against crime and drug addiction.
