Shiv Sena (UBT) Jammu and Kashmir unit paid tribute to Dogra Military Commander Zorawar Singh on the martyrdom day at the General Zorawar Singh Auditorium campus of Jammu University. Shiv Sena leaders, led by J&K President Manish Sahni, were present at a program organized by the General Zorawar Singh Trust in the General Zorawar Auditorium premises at Jammu University.
Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, Manoj Sinha, graced the occasion as the chief guest. He inaugurated the statue of General Zorawar Singh and offered flower tributes along with prayers.
During the ceremony, Sahni paid heartfelt tribute to General Zorawar Singh, acknowledging him as one of the world’s greatest military commanders. He emphasized how General Zorawar Singh’s unmatched bravery and military strategy brought pride to the country and the Dogras. Sahni expressed that the legendary figure serves as a perennial source of inspiration for future generations. General Zorawar Singh’s courage was so remarkable that even his adversaries referred to him as the King of Lions. Dignitaries from Jammu, including the sixth generation of General Zorawar Singh and Trust Trustees Riya and Diksha Kularia, as well as Trust Chairman Davindra Singh, were also present at the event. The occasion not only commemorated the martyrdom day of the revered military commander but also celebrated his enduring legacy and contributions to the nation. The atmosphere was filled with a sense of reverence and pride as the community gathered to honor a historical icon who symbolized indomitable courage and leadership. The General Zorawar Singh Auditorium, nestled within the prestigious Jammu University campus, provided a fitting backdrop for the ceremony, underscoring the educational institution’s commitment to preserving and promoting the rich cultural heritage of the region.
