Every year, April 7 is celebrated as the World Health Day primarily focused on the health of people around the world. But unfortunately, this year, the whole world is facing the outbreak of a pandemic like coronavirus and the healthcare warriors are the forefront fighting this battle mightily. World Health Organization has also designated 2020 as the Year of the Nurse and the Midwife for putting their own health at risk to protect the broader community. The WHO website reads, “Nurses and other health workers are at the forefront of COVID-19 response — providing high quality, respectful treatment and care, leading community dialogue to address fears and questions and, in some instances, collecting data for clinical studies. Quite simply, without nurses, there would be no response.” People around the world are highly indebted to the healthcare workers for acting as a shield against coronavirus and giving life-saving treatment to patients and their families every single day with dedication. It is a great day to come forward and show gratitude towards them and applaud them for their exemplary services. Prime Minister Narendra Modi also took to twitter and expressed his gratitude saying, “Today on #WorldHealthDay, let us not only pray for each other’s good health and well-being but also reaffirm our gratitude towards all those doctors, nurses, medical staff and healthcare workers who are bravely leading the battle against the COVID-19 menace.” He added, “This #WorldHealthDay, let us also ensure we follow practices like social distancing which will protect our own lives as well as the lives of others. May this day also inspire us towards focusing on personal fitness throughout the year, which would help improve our overall health.” It is a great time to thank healthcare workers around the world for their bravery, courage, commitment and resolve to fight deadly coronavirus and save humanity. Doctors and nurses are the backbones of our healthcare system as our life starts and ends with them. Today, on World Health Day, let us come forward and share messages for them on our social media handles to boost their morale and thank them for risking their lives to save ours. Thanks the entire health fraternity for stepping forward and saving humanity in times of crisis. We want to congratulate you all on World Health Day for your incredible work ethics.
