Kia India has unveiled the all-new Syros EV, its second mass-market electric vehicle manufactured in India, with prices starting at Rs 13.49 lakh (ex-showroom) for the 42 kWh battery variant and Rs 16.99 lakh for the 51.4 kWh Extended Range model. The vehicle will be available across Kia dealerships nationwide from July 30, aiming to make electric mobility more affordable and practical for Indian consumers.
The company has introduced a comprehensive ownership package to encourage faster adoption of electric vehicles. One of the key highlights is an industry-leading assured buyback programme, offering customers up to 80 percent resale value after three years under introductory terms. Kia has also launched a Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) programme, allowing buyers to purchase the vehicle starting from Rs 7.99 lakh while paying battery charges through an EMI structure beginning at Rs 3.3 per kilometre. In addition, the Syros EV comes with a lifetime high-voltage battery warranty of 15 years with unlimited kilometres, providing long-term confidence to customers.
The Syros EV is available with two battery options. The larger 51.4 kWh battery delivers an ARAI-certified driving range of 526 km, making it the first vehicle in its segment to cross the 500 km mark, while the 42 kWh battery offers a certified range of 443 km.
The vehicle supports DC fast charging, enabling the battery to charge from 10 percent to 80 percent in just 39 minutes using a 100 kW charger. It also produces 171 PS of power and accelerates from 0 to 100 kmph in 8.1 seconds.
Kia has strengthened its EV ecosystem through its K-Charge platform, which integrates more than 20,300 charging points across 23 charging operators on a single platform. The network is further supported by over 129 Kia dealerships equipped with DC fast chargers and more than 275 EV-ready workshops across India.
The Syros EV also features a premium cabin with a 30-inch panoramic display, wireless smartphone connectivity, ventilated seats, panoramic sunroof and over 95 connected car features. Safety equipment includes Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), six airbags, a 360-degree camera and 25 standard safety features, making it one of the most feature-rich electric SUVs in its segment.
