A grand Kalash Yatra was taken out fromRajmata Ji Ashram, Shani Temple, Nallaiya, Katra, ahead of the Shrimad Bhagavat Katha being organized on the auspicious occasion of Guru Purnima. The procession, led by SwamiRajeshwaranand Ji Maharaj, witnessed enthusiastic participation from devotees carrying saffron flags while chanting “JaiRam”, “Jai Bajrang Bali”, “Bharat Mata Ki Jai” and “Vande Mataram”, creating an atmosphere of devotion, unity and patriotism.
Temple Manager Ram Vohra said the eight-day Shrimad Bhagavat Katha has been organized to promote Guru Mahima and Sanatan culture. The discourse, being delivered by renowned Bhagavat exponent Acharya Premnidhi Ji from Vrindavan, will continue till July 26, followed by Yajna Purnahuti, Guru Puja, Satsang and a community Bhandara.
Addressing the gathering, Swami Rajeshwaranand Ji Maharaj said that the rare confluence of Guru Purnima, Gupt Navratri, the holy land of Mata Vaishno Devi and the presence of saints multiplies the spiritual benefits of listening to the Shrimad Bhagavat Katha.
Special guest Hind Kesari Srinivasan Thamburan said the Katha aims to spread Sanatan culture, awaken spiritual wisdom and motivate the younger generation towards service, discipline and moral values. He added that such programmes help steer youth away from drug abuse while the Kalash Yatra spreads positivity, social harmony and spiritual purity across society.
Present on the occasion, Shiv Sena (UBT) Jammu & Kashmir Unit President Manish Sahni said, “The greatest challenge today is the growing disconnect of our youth from their cultural roots. If young people drift away from Sanatan values, the very soul of the nation is weakened. Shiv Sena appeals to the youth to reconnect with their roots and dedicate themselves to Dharma, culture and national pride.”
The procession concluded with a warm welcome by local residents, who greeted the devotees with flower showers and garlands. Religious leaders, representatives of social organisations, political leaders and hundreds of devotees participated in the event.
