MLA Arvind Gupta inaugurates Rs 60 lakh lane & drain project in Subash Nagar

Continuing his efforts to strengthen civic infrastructure and improve public amenities across Jammu West, MLA Arvind Gupta today inaugurated the construction work of lanes and drains near Shiv Mandir in Subash Nagar, Ward No. 26. The development project, being undertaken at an estimated cost of Rs 60 lakh, is aimed at upgrading the area’s drainage network, improving road connectivity and addressing long-pending civic concerns of local residents.
Addressing the gathering, Arvind Gupta said that the project reflects his commitment to ensuring planned and sustainable development in every ward of the Jammu West Assembly constituency.
He emphasized that strengthening basic infrastructure remains one of his top priorities and that no area will be left behind in the ongoing development process.
“Quality infrastructure is the foundation of a better quality of life. Well-constructed lanes and an efficient drainage system are essential for ensuring cleanliness, convenience and public safety. This project will significantly improve living conditions for residents of Subash Nagar and provide a long-term solution to issues faced during the rainy season,” Gupta said.
The MLA stated that since being elected, he has been consistently working to identify and address the developmental needs of localities across Jammu West. He said numerous projects related to roads, drainage, sanitation, water supply, street lighting and community infrastructure have either been completed or are currently under execution.
Arvind Gupta further said that the BJP-led government remains committed to inclusive development and ensuring that the benefits of progress reach every section of society. He assured residents that all genuine public demands would be taken up on priority and that development works would continue at an accelerated pace.

“The people of Jammu West have always placed their trust in me, and it is my responsibility to deliver visible results on the ground. Development is not merely about announcements; it is about creating durable assets and improving the daily lives of citizens. Every rupee spent from public funds must translate into tangible benefits for the people,” he added.
Local residents expressed their appreciation for the project and thanked Arvind Gupta for taking prompt steps to address infrastructure-related issues in the area. They said the construction of new lanes and drains would greatly improve accessibility and help prevent waterlogging during the monsoon season.
Prominent BJP leaders and local residents present on the occasion included Mohit Vaid, Atul Bakshi, Rekha Sharma, Aarti Khajuria, Indresh Gupta, Pardeep Sharma and Sudesh Sharma, among others.
