The burgeoning sports culture in Jammu reached a new milestone today with the successful conclusion of a high-energy Pickleball Tournament held at Hangout, Greater Kailash. The event brought together enthusiastic players from across the region, showcasing remarkable talent and determination while highlighting the rapid growth of the sport in the city. Organized by Chirag Dogra, Aditi Mahajan (Dosed), Mohit Sharma, and Naman Luthra, the tournament served as a vibrant platform for fostering camaraderie and healthy competition among the local youth.The occasion was graced by MLA Bahu, Vikram Randhawa, who attended as the Chief Guest, alongside Social Activist & Chairman of Samvedna Society, Keshav Chopra, who was the Guest of Honor. Other distinguished attendees included Special Guests PSI Kiran Lakhotra, Bal Krishan Bhat and Narinder Luthra, who joined in celebrating the participants’ achievements. The atmosphere was one of immense community pride as the guests interacted with the players and witnessed the intense matches that defined the day’s proceedings. Speaking at the event, MLA Vikram Randhawa praised the organizers for their initiative in bringing modern sporting formats to the local community. He remarked that it is truly heartening to see the youth embracing such sports with vigor, noting that these events are essential for building strong community ties and ensuring the younger generation has the motivation to excel. He further emphasized that supporting grassroots initiatives is key to putting Jammu on the national sporting map.Adding to the sentiment of social responsibility, Keshav Chopra emphasized the role of athletics in shaping a better future for the region.

He championed the vision of a healthier society by raising the slogan, “Say No to Drugs and Yes to Sports,” asserting that engaging in such tournaments is a vital step in building a shield against social evils and fostering a disciplined, drug-free environment for the next generation.The tournament concluded with a presentation ceremony where the guests congratulated the winners and participants for their exemplary performance.
