Appeal to come out on the streets for restoration of rights

The time has come that the people should come out on the streets to save the status of the state, democratic rights, the power of their voting rights and the identity of Jammu and Kashmir, this appeal was made during the all party Dharna-demonstration organized in Kathua today.
Under the banner of All Party United Front, leaders and workers of almost all opposition parties including Congress, NC, Shiv Sena (UBT), PDP, S Akali Dal, AAP, CPI (ML) , CPI , AIPA, HRS and others held a strong Dharna-demonstration today at Shaheedi Chowk in district Kathua, which is called the gateway of Jammu and Kashmir, demanding return of full statehood, stopping violation of democratic rights and giving special status to Jammu and Kashmir.
On this occasion, APUM Convenor Manish Sahni (State President, Shiv Sena (UBT) and I.D.
Khajuria in their joint address said that the people of Jammu and Kashmir, which is called the crown of the country, have been cheated. Despite the long gap of five years, we have not been given back the status of the state. By amending the Jammu and Kashmir Reorganization Act, the LG’s jurisdiction has been increased, the voting power of the people has been hollowed out. All the promises like peace, development, employment have proved to be hollow.
At the same time, Narendra Gupta ( Gen Sect. Organiser Congress ) raised the issue of power and water cuts and irregularities in bills. Along with this, Sheikh Abdul Rehman (Former MP), Sunny Kant Chimb (HRC), Narendra Singh Khalsa (S Akali Dal), Subhash Mehta (CPML), Vinod Sharma (VP Congress) , Comrade Hariom (CPM), Chaudhary Balkar Singh, Advocate Sunil Gupta, Pankaj Gupta (District President Congress), Kishore Bakshi (NC), Kajal Thakur, Santosh Khajuria, Rohini Sharma, Chaudhary Balkar Singh, Pratap Singh expressed their views and vowed to continue the movement until Jammu and Kashmir is restored to full statehood with special privileges. On this occasion, many leaders and workers of various parties including Sanjeev Kohli, Vikas Bakshi, Raj Singh, Mangu Ram, Rajesh Khajuria were present.
