The Indian Army recently conducted an outreach medical drive to deliver crucial healthcare services to the remote villages of Kheri, Gundi, and Andari in the Kalal sector. This initiative aimed to provide medical assistance directly to the doorsteps of the village communities, addressing the significant healthcare challenges faced by these isolated regions.
The mobile medical patrols were part of the Army’s ongoing efforts to support the well-being of people living in geographically isolated and underserved areas. These communities often struggle with healthcare access due to various factors such as poverty, illiteracy, and the challenging terrain that isolates them from urban centers with medical facilities.
Indian Army medical representatives, accompanied by their ‘Area Domination Parties,’ carried out the patrols with a commitment to addressing the healthcare needs of the villagers with utmost care and compassion. The mobile camps and patrols ensured that essential medical services reached those who needed them most, providing not only immediate care but also raising awareness about health and hygiene.
During the medical drive, a total of 54 villagers and their families received medical attention. The services included general health check-ups, distribution of medicines, and consultations on various health issues.
The medical team also educated the villagers on preventive measures to combat common diseases and maintain overall health. This proactive approach aimed to empower the villagers with knowledge to improve their health outcomes.
The local community expressed immense gratitude for the Indian Army’s initiative. The villagers appreciated the effort to bring healthcare services directly to their homes, recognizing the positive impact it had on their well-being.
They also requested the Army to conduct similar medical drives in the future, underscoring the ongoing need for accessible healthcare in these remote areas.
This outreach medical drive is part of the Indian Army’s broader mission to support and uplift the communities in the regions they operate. By providing essential services like healthcare, the Army not only enhances the quality of life for the villagers but also strengthens the bond between the military and the local population.

Such initiatives are vital in fostering trust and cooperation, ensuring that the needs of the most vulnerable populations are met with empathy and dedication.
The successful execution of the mobile medical patrol at Kalal highlights the Indian Army’s commitment to serving the nation beyond their traditional roles. It reflects a holistic approach to community engagement, addressing critical issues that affect the daily lives of people in remote and underserved areas. The positive response from the villagers reinforces the importance of these efforts and the need for continued support and intervention in the future.
