In Continuation to achieve mission “HATH SAY HATH JODO ABHIYAN”, Gurmeet Singh President Beopar Mandal & Distt. General Secretary Congress, a senior Congress Leader said that BJP is continuously looting the people in the name of different types of taxes, He said and questioned the BJP-led government on what basis does it decide on the prices of petroleum products every day and the explanation for subjecting people of J&K to this cruelty BJP Govt. is mercilessly looting the public with hiked fuel prices, especially during a raging pandemic! I want to ask why is this hike in LPG Gas, petrol and diesel prices when international crude oil prices are low. He said petrol and diesel prices directly affect the common people but the Centre has not formulated any policy to deal with the economic slowdown and they passed on the burden to the masses. No government can ignore people’s voice. Hike in LPG Gas, Petrol, Diesel etc. Prices will have to be reversed, he demanded. He further said that when the Congress-led UPA was in power, relief was given to people even though international crude oil prices were soaring while the Modi BJP government has been raising gas, petrol & diesel prices, burdening the common people and the farmers already facing hardships in survival.
When S. Manmohan Singh was Prime Minister of India (Congress Govt.) and he ordered refund 3,11,000 crores to the public on the basis of Subsidy of Diesel, Petrol and LPG Gas Cylinder, Detail of the same given below:-
Diesel Subsidy 2,36,000 Crore
Petrol 31,000 Crore
LPG Cylinder 52,000 Crore

Total = 3,11,000 Crore
Post pandemic period, most of the business houses has become zero or in position of winding up and Govt. is continuously imposing different types taxes on the public which is not at all tolerable and bearable by public in present scenarios of Jammu.
Speaking on the occasion, Gurmeet Singh said
The BJP Govt. has ruined the country and General Public imposing taxes and raised the Rates of all essential commodities including petrol and diesel and LPG Gas cylinder in the country.
Gurmeet Singh further told that if the congress Govt. come in power, we will reduce the rates of petrol diesel and other essential commodities. BJP Govt. is just enjoying with the public money as the Ministers have been given long rope to spend the public money at their own.
Gurmeet Singh Distt. General Secretary Congress & President Beopar Mandal, a senior congress Leader criticized the BJP Govt. for troubles of common poor man and unemployed youth as well as the sufferings of different sections of the society and said that Congress would continue to highlight the problems of the people.
During the Congress Govt. the salaries of the ministers was very reasonable what now it has been increase by 200% by the BJP Govt. The vehicles provided to Congress ministers worth Rs 4 Lacs what now the BJP Govt is provided vehicles to the ministries worth Rs 20 Lac to 40 Lac. It clear shows that the hard-earned public money is misused and giving benefit to the strata of Adani & Ambani Groups.
