On Wednesday, officials said a paramilitary CRPF trooper committed suicide at a camp in Srinagar.
A police official told that the constable Anand Lal, hailing from Bihar, ended life by shooting himself dead with an AK-47 rifle at a camp of 29 battalions in Sanat Nagar here.
He said while the reason for him taking such an extreme step was not immediately known, police have registered a case and started an investigation.
