Kathua Administration demolishes eight shops, residential building of Lal Singh’s brother

District administration led by district Development Commissioner Dr. Raghav Langar on Sunday conducted an anti-encroachment drive on Sunday. Accompanied by Additional DC Gunshyam Singh, Asstt. Commissioner Revenue, Davinder Paul, Tehsildar Kapil Khajuria, DySP HQ N. Rasotra, SHO Sanjeev Chib and SHO Women Cell Krinti Sharma, the team removed number of illegal constructions. The shops and buildings of former Municipal Committee Kathua President, Rajinder Singh (Bubby), Brother of Former Minister Ch. Lal Singh were also demolished by the team, as they were built on illegally encroached land at Chak Dewan Kirpa Ram Kothe, Ward No. 17 of Kathua. Speaking on the occasion DDC said ” Acting on the orders of Supreme Court, we have initiated anti-encroachment drive since last few months to remove encroachments from sate land”. He further informed the some other areas have also been identified where state land has been encroached upon and would be retrieved in phased manner. The anti-encroachment drive shall continue in future also and encroachers have been advised to remove encroachments voluntarily to avoid any administrative action.
