The Indian Army, in collaboration with the Animal Husbandry Department, successfully organized a veterinary camp in Malut, Rajouri, aimed at providing essential veterinary care, medicines, and educational awareness on cattle health to the local population. This initiative reinforced the Army’s ongoing commitment to community welfare, particularly in remote and rural areas where access to veterinary services is limited. The event saw the active participation of key personnel, including Dr. Khalid Najeeb, Chief Animal Husbandry Officer, along with a dedicated team of veterinarians, attendants, and enthusiastic local residents. A total of four doctors, five attendants, and 116 civilians took part in the camp, reflecting the significance of the initiative for the community. The presence of expert veterinarians ensured that livestock owners received valuable guidance on proper animal care, disease prevention, and nutrition management.
The veterinary camp played a vital role in addressing various health concerns affecting cattle and other domestic animals. Free medical check-ups were provided, and necessary medicines were distributed to ensure the well-being of the animals. Special emphasis was placed on preventive healthcare measures, vaccination drives, and best practices in livestock management. The veterinary experts also conducted informative sessions on topics such as parasite control, balanced diets, and the importance of timely vaccinations to prevent diseases.
