National Cadet Corps (NCC) cadets from the Jammu region showcased their dedication and excellence during the Republic Day parades held on January 26th across various districts. Their remarkable performances highlighted the zeal and discipline instilled by the NCC.
The GCW Udhampur contingent secured first place in the Udhampur parade, while the boys’ contingent of 2 J&K Battalion NCC claimed second position at MAM Stadium, Jammu. The girls’ contingent of 2 J&K Battalion NCC also impressed with a third-place finish at the same venue. These achievements reflect the relentless efforts and hard work of the cadets.
Major General Anupinder Bevli, VSM, Additional Director General of NCC Directorate Jammu, Kashmir & Ladakh, attended the celebrations at MAM Stadium. He praised the cadets for their exceptional performances, applauding their enthusiasm and commitment. He emphasized that their achievements set higher benchmarks for others and inspire youth across the region.
NCC cadets from remote areas such as Khour, Poonch, Rajouri, Mendhar, Sunderbani, Doda, Banihal, and Kishtwar also participated in district-level parades with notable success. Cadets from Jammu, Kathua, Samba, Domana, and RS Pura further demonstrated excellence, earning podium finishes. In total, 3,045 Junior Wing and Senior Wing cadets took part in Republic Day parades, displaying flawless coordination and discipline.
The success of these cadets underscores the collective efforts of NCC officers, Associate NCC Officers (ANOs), Permanent Instructor Staff, and institutional heads who provide consistent guidance and training. The NCC’s commitment to nation-building and fostering leadership, teamwork, and patriotism among the youth is evident in these accomplishments.
As the largest youth organization in the country, the NCC continues to contribute significantly to national celebrations and development. With its motto “Unity & Discipline,” the NCC Directorate Jammu, Kashmir & Ladakh remains steadfast in achieving its goals and upholding the highest standards of excellence.
