In a commendable effort to empower the youth of Jammu and Kashmir, the Indian Army has successfully conducted free tuition classes at Lam, Rajouri, from October 7 to December 28, 2024. This initiative was launched to help students prepare for entrance examinations to prestigious institutions such as Sainik Schools and Military Schools. A total of 30 students participated in the classes, which were designed not only to enhance their academic proficiency but also to instill discipline, confidence, and leadership skills.
The curriculum for the tuition classes focused on crucial subjects such as Mathematics, General Science, General Knowledge, English, and Reasoning Ability, which are essential components of the entrance exams for Sainik and Military Schools. A highly skilled instructor provided individualized attention to each student, ensuring a thorough understanding of the syllabus and concepts. Emphasis was placed on problem-solving techniques, time management, and analytical thinking, equipping students with a holistic approach to tackling competitive exams.
Students received intensive guidance on exam preparation strategies, including how to manage time effectively during exams and develop logical reasoning skills. This personalized approach not only boosted the students’ confidence but also enhanced their academic capabilities, making them better prepared for the challenges ahead.
The initiative was met with an overwhelmingly positive response from both students and parents. Many expressed deep gratitude to the Indian Army for their efforts in supporting the educational aspirations of children in this remote and conflict-affected region. Parents noted the significant improvement in their children’s academic skills and self-confidence, praising the Army’s commitment to the community.
The Indian Army has assured that its support will not end with the completion of these tuition classes. Plans are in place for follow-up sessions and counseling programs to further assist students in their academic and personal growth.
These efforts align with the Army’s broader vision of fostering national integration, nurturing leadership qualities, and providing opportunities for youth in areas impacted by conflict.
