The District Administration Rajouri today successfully organized a series of events to celebrate Good Governance Week across the district.
The main program was held at the PWD Dak Bunglow conference hall, presided over by Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) Dr. Raj Kumar Thapa.
Officers imparted detailed awareness to participants about schemes and services offered by their respective departments. The public’s enthusiastic participation underscored the administration’s commitment to citizen-centric governance.
Similar programs, including grievance redressal camps, awareness sessions, and interactive events, were organized throughout the district. These efforts are part of the administration’s mission to promote transparency, accountability, and efficiency in governance, ensuring inclusive development for all.
The week-long celebrations will continue with more initiatives planned to enhance public service delivery and strengthen the commitment to good governance.

In his address, the ADDC highlighted the government’s initiatives aimed at fostering transparency, accountability, and citizen-centric governance.
He encouraged participants to actively engage with these programs and avail the benefits of schemes such as the Azaala app-a one-stop solution for grievance redressal-alongside HADP, PMAY-G, SBM, and others.
Dr. Thapa also emphasized the importance of showing empathy and respect towards delivering public services, stating, “If officers perform their duties with sincerity and respond effectively to public needs as per good governance practices, it will not only benefit citizens but also brings inner satisfaction to the officers themselves.”
