The Institutional Innovation Council (IIC) at Dogra Degree College organized an exclusive workshop on “Entrepreneurship & Innovation as Career Opportunities” on 28th November 2024 at 12:00 noon in the College Conference Hall. This session was designed for the BBA and B.Com 1st year students, aiming to inspire and equip them with the tools to explore entrepreneurship and innovation as promising career avenue.
Rakesh Mohan Koul with more than 25 year of Industry experience, Presently Head of the BBA & B.Com Departments at Dogra Degree College, shared his valuable expertise on entrepreneurship, innovation, and leadership.
His insights aimed to guide students toward making informed career choices. Due to lack of job opportunities, students can pursue entrepreneurship as career path in varied dynamic fields.
This workshop provided students with a robust platform to gain knowledge, develop essential skills, and build expertise in entrepreneurship and innovation.
This workshop provided students valuable insights regarding entrepreneurship and innovation, developing the skills necessary to thrive in the entrepreneurial ecosystem, networking opportunities with peers and industry experts, exploring innovative career paths and opportunities and boosting confidence in entrepreneurship and leadership.
The primary objective of the workshop was to foster a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship among students, equipping them with the skills and knowledge needed for future success.
The Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC), an initiative by the Ministry of Education (MoE), Government of India, plays a pivotal role in promoting innovation and entrepreneurship. Dogra Degree College, a renowned institution in Jammu Bari Brahmana, remains dedicated to delivering quality education and nurturing innovation and entrepreneurship among its students.
The event was a conducted successfully by Assistant Professor at the Department of Commerce and Convenor of IIC, Rachna Devi under guidance of Principal DDC, Dr Bela Thakur. The session commenced with a warm welcome note by Amarpreet Kaur, Lecturer at the Department of Commerce and Member at IIC.
Bringing the session to a close, Monika Sharma, Assistant Professor at the Department of Arts and member at IIC, presented a formal vote of thanks. The event winding up with the singing of National Anthem.
