Sunil Verma, District President of Jammu and Kashmir National Conference (JKNC) Udhampur, today graced the Parkash Utsav of Guru Nanak Dev Ji during a programme organized at Gurudwara Sahib Singh Sabha, Udhampur. The event was marked by devotional fervor and community participation, celebrating the teachings and legacy of Guru Nanak Dev Ji.
On this auspicious occasion, Sardar Gurmeet Singh, President of the Gurudwara Prabandhak Committee, Udhampur, felicitated Sunil Verma for his selfless contributions to society and his unwavering commitment to public service.
Speaking on the occasion, Sunil Verma emphasized the timeless teachings of Guru Nanak Dev Ji, particularly the principles of equality, humility, and selfless service. He urged the community to imbibe these values in their daily lives, stating, “Guru Nanak Dev Ji’s message of universal brotherhood and compassion continues to guide humanity on the path of righteousness. Let us commit ourselves to creating a society rooted in these values.”
Among those who were present included Om Parkash, Block President Udhampur; Pt. Kamal Sharma; Om Parkash, City President; and Kannav Sharma, Youth Leader.
Sunil Verma expressed gratitude to the Gurudwara Prabandhak Committee for organizing the event and called for strengthening the bonds of brotherhood and mutual respect among all communities. The programme concluded with prayers for peace, prosperity, and the well-being of humanity.
