4 J&K Bn NCC and NSS units of Dogra College of Education, Dogra Law College, and Dogra Degree College, under the aegis of Dogra Educational Trust, successfully organized a Blood Donation Camp in collaboration with Government Hospital, Gandhi Nagar, Jammu. The event saw enthusiastic participation and significant contributions from students and staff across the three colleges.
The camp was inaugurated by Th. Gulchain Singh Charak, (Former Minister, President of Dogra Sadar Sabha and Chairman, Dogra Educational Trust), who addressed the gathering and highlighted the importance of blood donation as a humanitarian act that strengthens community bonds and saves lives. He commended the Donors for their willingness to support a vital cause and praised the collaborative efforts of the Managements of Dogra Educational Trust and Government Hospital, Gandhi Nagar, Jammu.
The camp received an overwhelming response with a total of 106 student volunteers.
Dogra Degree College contributed with 17 donors, Dogra College of Education saw 2 Donors, and Dogra Law College donors were 16 in number.
Each donor’s contribution is a testament to their commitment to social welfare and to creating a positive impact on the community.
The blood donation camp was closely supervised by Dr.Uttra Sambyal, Medical Officer at the Blood Centre, Government Hospital, Gandhi Nagar, along with a dedicated team including Sr. Nurse Ankita Kumari, Jr. Nurse, Amita Verma, and Multi-Task Service Officer Mr. Dheeraj from the hospital. Their expertise and dedication ensured a safe and efficient donation process for all the volunteers.
The organizing committee of the camp consisted of Mr. Gulshan Sharma, CTO/ANO, NCC Unit, Dogra Degree College; Mr. Om Parkash, CTO/ANO, NCC Unit, Dogra Law College; and Mr. KewalKrishan, Sports In-charge, Dogra Degree College, who coordinated the arrangements and logistics, ensuring a seamless experience for the participants.
The Dogra Educational Trust extended its gratitude to all those who supported this initiative and to the Government Hospital, Gandhi Nagar, for their collaboration.
This event not only underscores the significance of blood donation but also embodies the collective dedication of Dogra Educational Trust to promote community well-being and make a positive impact on Society.
