KCCI Holds 90th Annual General Meeting in Its 100th Foundation Year

The Kashmir Chamber of Commerce & Industry (KCCI) held its 90th Annual General Meeting on 21st of September, 2024 at Hotel The Kaboo, Wazir Bagh, Srinagar. The meeting attended by a large number of members including Past Presidents was presided over by President Javid Ahmad Tenga.
The Annual Administration Report was presented by the Secretary General Faiz Ahmad Bakshi.
The Managing Director/CEO Jammu & Kashmir Bank Ltd, Mr. Baldev Prakash, the Commissioner Industries & Commerce Department, Mr. Vikramjit Singh, the Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, Mr. Vijay Bidhuri graced the occasion. It is worthwhile to mention that the Annual General Meeting was held in the 100th year of Foundation of the Kashmir Chamber of Commerce & Industry having the distinction of being the fourth oldest Chamber of India founded in the year 1924.
The members were apprised of the activities of the Chamber from the previous Annual General Meeting held on 30th of December, 2023 till September, 2024. The house approved the Administration Report, the Auditors Report, the Statement of Income & Expenditure, the Budget for the year 2024 -2025 and the appointment of the Auditors.
The KCCI member and the owner of M/s Alamgir Papier Machie House, Mr. Zahoor Hussain Alamgir was felicitated on outstanding performance in the field of exports in Papier Machie recently awarded to him by Mr. Giriraj Singh, Minister of Textiles, Government of India.
The members highlighted various issues requiring urgent attention of the Government for their resolution. They pointed out that some issues were pending resolution for quite some time.
The President apprised the house about the ongoing efforts KCCI was engaged in to seek redressal of the problems faced by various sectors of the economy and assured that the issues raised in the meeting will be pursued with greater zeal and zest.
The meeting ended with a vote of thanks to the chair, the office bearers and the members of the KCCI who had attended the meeting in large numbers.
