Union Home Minister Amit Shah has said that India’s economy has improved leaps and bounds since the NDA government took over the reins under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Addressing 7th Convocation of Pandit Dindayal Petroleum University at Gandhinagar yesterday evening, Shah said that till 2014, there had been no attempts to save India’s economy. In the last five years, we have been able to make it the world’s fastest-growing economy. He said under the BJP government, inflation rate has dropped from 9 per cent to just around three per cent. Shah said that the country has improved its position in ease of doing business and our international ranking improved considerably. He also appealed Pandit Dindayal Petroleum University President Mukesh Ambani to start research and development and new courses on environment and recyclable plastics.
