The spirit of festivity and devotion filled the air at Dogra Higher Secondary School, Shastri Nagar, Jammu, as the school celebrated the auspicious occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi with great enthusiasm and fervor.
Worthy Managing Director, Kunwar Gambhir Dev Singh Charak, emphasized the significance of Lord Ganesha in promoting wisdom, prosperity, and good fortune. He encouraged students to imbibe the values of devotion, discipline, and dedication, which are symbolized by Lord Ganesha.
Vice Principal Mrs. Gagandeep Bedi also spoke on the occasion, highlighting the importance of cultural celebrations in schools and how they foster a sense of unity and respect for traditions among students.
Headmaster Mr. Ganesh Das Gupta and Coordinator Mrs. Ritika Sharma also offered prayers to Lord Ganesha, seeking blessings for the well-being and success of the school and its students. The program included a beautiful rendition of Ganesh Vandana by the school dance group, followed by a melodious song performed by the school choir. The students’ performances were filled with devotion, and the echoes of “Ganpati Bappa Morya” and “Deva Sri Ganesha” resonated throughout the school. The celebrations concluded with the singing of National Anthem and distribution of sweets as prasad to all the attendees.
