In a remarkable effort to uplift the lives of residents in remote border areas, the Indian Army organized a free medical camp under the “Sehat Sanjeevani Abhiyan” in the villages surrounding Malla, Rajouri, on September 6, 2024. The initiative aimed to provide essential healthcare services to villagers who often struggle to access quality medical care due to geographical and logistical challenges.
A dedicated team of Indian Army doctors and medical staff set up the camp, offering consultations and treatments across various medical specialties. The camp also distributed essential medicines and health supplements free of cost, ensuring comprehensive healthcare support for the local population. More than 350 villagers, including women, children, and the elderly, benefited from the services provided.
The event received overwhelming appreciation from the local community, who expressed their gratitude towards the Indian Army for its continued commitment to improving the well-being of people in border areas. Many villagers acknowledged that such initiatives not only address their immediate health needs but also foster a sense of security and trust between the Army and the local population.
