Senior BJP leader and Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha), Er. Gulam Ali Khatana, has extended his heartfelt congratulations to para-athletes Sheetal Devi and Rakesh Kumar for their outstanding performance at the ongoing Paris Paralympics. The duo clinched the Bronze medal in the Mixed Team Compound Open Archery event, bringing immense pride to the nation.
“At just 17 years old, Sheetal Devi, hailing from the Kishtwar district of Jammu and Kashmir, has already carved a name for herself in the world of para-archery. Her accomplishments on the global stage have been nothing short of extraordinary”, the MP Er. Gulam Ali Khatana said in his statement, and added, “In the 2022 Asian Para Games, Sheetal showcased her exceptional talent by winning two gold medals and one silver medal, a feat that earned her the prestigious Arjuna Award. Today, with this latest victory at the Paris Paralympics, she has once again demonstrated her unwavering dedication and skill.”
Khatana praised the athletes for their exemplary team spirit, which played a crucial role in securing the Bronze medal for India. “Congratulations to Sheetal Devi and Rakesh Kumar on winning the Bronze in Mixed Team Compound Open Archery.
