Asks party cadre to remain in public, focus on ensuing Assembly polls

Modi government upgraded infrastructure in healthcare, education, tourism and other sectors in Jammu & Kashmir, said Dr. Devinder Manyal, General Secretary, J&K BJP and asked the opposition to stop misleading people and to recognize the significant transformation Jammu and Kashmir has witnessed since the abrogation of Article 370 under the Modi Government.
The senior BJP leader was speaking while addressing a OBC Sammelan in the Jammu West constituency. Sat Sharma (Former Minister), Parmod Kapahi (District President Jammu), Chander Mohan Gupta (Vice President BJP), Brahma Jyot Satti, Sunil Prajapati, Rajeev Charak, Kewal Verma, Ashok Salgotra, Parveen Badyal, Gopal Sanotra, Sanjay Verma addressed the gathering.
The senior BJP leader emphasized that Jammu and Kashmir, which had faced nearly three decades of unrest and disturbances, has seen remarkable changes in recent years. He highlighted that the Modi government has brought about transformative changes across various sectors, including infrastructure, healthcare, education, and tourism. These advancements have significantly improved the quality of life for residents and contributed to the region’s economic growth.
“The era of stone-pelting, hartals, and calendars issued by Hurriyat leaders is now behind us. Under the Modi Government, the Valley has witnessed a remarkable turnaround, with a flourishing tourism sector and vibrant economic activity. Today, our youth are engaged in productive work and contributing to the region’s growth,” he asserted.
Addressing party workers, he emphasized the importance of focusing on the upcoming Assembly elections. “Our task is to connect with the people, educate them about the BJP’s key achievements, and ensure a decisive victory in the forthcoming polls. It is crucial that we remain visible in our communities and continue to advocate for the progress and development we have championed,” he added.
While addressing a gathering Sat Sharma said that relying on Sabka Sath, Sabka Vikas and Sabka Viswas, Modi Govt has taken many steps for the Welfare and Development of OBCs by extending 27% Reservation in admissions in the Central Education Institutes; e.g. Kendriya Vidyalaya, Navodaya Vidyalaya as well as Medical and Technical Education Institution and NEET.
Subsequently the Modi Govt taken another big decision for Empowering OBCs of J&K by extending Reservation to OBCs in Panchayats and Urban Local Body Elections, which was available under Panchayati Raj System but the previous Govts denied the same to OBCs.
Previous Govts have denied reservation under OBC category and granted mere 2% reservation under OSC category thus rendering OBC as ineligible for reservation in Panchayats and Municipality Elections.
