Says administration has no connect with general masses

SAMBA, JULY 25
Claiming that the Shiv Nagar in Vijaypur has become a glaring example of backwardness of administration in Samba, the Apni Party Provincial President, Jammu, and Former Minister, S. Manjit Singh today has criticized authorities concerned for its failure to develop the Shiv Nagar where development has become a distant dream.
As per a press release, a meeting was organized at Shiv Nagar in Vijaypur under the leadership of Former Minister, S. Manjit Singh. The meeting was also attended by Ex-Sarpanch, Joginder Lal.
During the meeting, the participants discussed various development related issues faced by the people with the poor basic amenities, and no road connectivity to the locality. Speaking on the occasion, S. Manjit Singh expressed surprise over underdevelopment in one of the localities in Vijaypur where the people have been deprived from the basic amenities.
He criticized the administration, and the respective departments for their inability to develop the Shiv Nagar area and did not provide road connectivity to the residential colony. Expressing serious concern over the negligence of development, he said that the bureaucracy is working without direction or considering the public opinion before chalking out any developmental plans. Hence, the areas which require attention of the administration, remain undeveloped with no road connectivity, lanes, and drains. He said that the administration has lost connection with the people and they do not know the ground reality while sitting in their respective offices. “The people are suffering because they are not consulted by the administration nor their issues are resolved. Therefore, they are left in despair,” he added.
Under these circumstances, the people have pinned their hopes with an elected Govt of Jammu and Kashmir.
“The people are disappointed that before the holding of assembly elections, the LG of J&K was granted more powers, and the elected Govt has been weakened in advance that would further alienate the people of Jammu and Kashmir from the ‘weak’ Govt that is going to be formed,” he added.
In this regard, he said that if the Apni Party forms the next Govt, it would ensure overall development of all the regions without disparity, the interest of the general masses would be protected, and strengthen the justice system in every department to ensure the public issues can be resolved.
