Youth delegation meets Tehsildar Bani, advocates for ST Status

The youth delegation of Bani had a productive meeting with the Tehsildar Bani, where they explored various aspects of the newly revised guidelines for the inclusion of Pahadi people in the Scheduled Tribe (ST) category. The meeting aimed to address the eligibility criteria for ST status and its application process, specifically related to the Pahari language and the geographical location of the Pahadi area.
Understanding the significance of this matter, the youth of Bani expressed their concerns and aspirations to the Tehsildar Bani. The delegation highlighted that, in accordance with the new guidelines, the Tehsildar Bani holds the authority to issue the ST status to deserving individuals based on their Pahari language and the geographical context of the Pahari area in Bani.
During the meeting, the youth delegation formally applied online for the ST Status, firmly requesting the Tehsildar Bani to consider granting the ST Status in their favor. They emphasized that Bani is indisputably recognized as a Pahari area, with its inhabitants predominantly speaking the Pahari language. The unique culture and distinctive way of life in Bani further substantiate the community’s claim for ST Status.
The youth delegation of Bani expressed their gratitude to the Tehsildar Bani for attentively listening to their concerns and engaging in a meaningful and constructive dialogue. They also expressed their confidence in the fairness and impartiality of the decision-making process.
