Senior BJP leader and Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha), Gulam Ali Khatana visited remote areas of Ramban-Banihal, Reasi and district Rajouri.
He visited schools in these areas and assured to talk to officers of education department for tackling the problems of shortage of staff.
At Gool he redressed the issue of land compensation of the locals wherein the land was taken up for KV and other government projects.
Khatana directed the officers to ensure that local get employment in government projects.
SDM Mahore Sayed Mujahid Shah, Pawan Goswami, SDM Gool, Tehsldar Gool, Harjit Singh, BDOs and officers of Sub Division level were also present on the occasion.
Then he met public delegations and listened their issues. Khatana assured the visiting delegations that their issues shall be taken to the concerned departments. He said that all the issues of the public should be addressed as early as possible and directed the officers to start skill development programmes in these areas so that local unemployment can be removed.
He directed the BDO concerned to look into the issue of road connectivity of the Panchayats where the road has so far nor reached and compensate the locals whose land has been taken for government projects.
DC Rajouri, SSP Rajouri and other senior officers of the administration were present in the meetings with the MP.
Khatana asked the officers to solve the public issues at their door steps and ensure that the government departments should become facility centres and not place of rest for the officers.
The MP asked the administration officers to take special care of roads at Banihal, Ramban, Gool, Budhal, Kotranka and Rajouri.
After this the MP attended a function organised by BJP in which many activists and leaders of Congress, NC and PDP joined BJP.
