A lecture on dental implants under the expert lecture series 2024 was organized at Jammu.
The topic of the lecture was “Basic Implantology – simplified and oral hygiene care”and the resource person was Dr. Vikram Bali, Periodontist and Implantologist, from Ludhiana.
Dr. Bali simplified the concept of placing, maintaining, restoring, and tackling the complications associated with dental implants.
He said that it is better to replace a missing tooth with an implant than placing a bridge in that area.
He also gave a detailed list of precautions to be observed while placing dental implants.
Dr Gautam Sharma, President, Indian Dental Association (IDA), Jammu, presented a certificate of resource person to the speaker.
Dr Gautam said that now most dentists are placing dental implants in their practice, but soft tissue consideration shall always be kept in mind as it may complicate the restorative part.
Senior manager Colgate, Rakesh Shrivastav , oral care consultant Sumeet, oral care executive Vineet Dogra were present on the occasion.
