PSPS Women College inspires young voters through SVEEP initiative

Padma Shri Padma Sachdev Government College for Women today organized a one day Voters awareness workshop under the Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) campaign. Held under the guidance of District Election Officer Jammu, Sachin Vaishay and the leadership of Nodal Officer Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP), the event aimed to educate and engage young voters, promoting active participation in the democratic process.
The workshop raised awareness among students regarding NSVP portal and form no.6. Many students registered themselves, corrected their forms and generated their EPIC cards. Doubts of the students were cleared thoroughly and they were educated about the voting registration process. “We believe that every vote counts, and it is essential to empower our young generation with the knowledge and understanding of their voting rights,” said the faculty coordinator of the Electoral Literacy Club. “Through events like these, we aim to encourage students to actively participate in the democratic process and make informed choices.” The event at PSPS Government College for Women successfully concluded under the supervision of Principle Dr. S P Saraswat which inspired young voters and created awareness about the power. Dr Pooja Charak, Prof Paramjeet Singh organised the event. The Department of Political Science expresses gratitude to all students, faculty and the SVEEP team for their contribution in making the event successful. Campus Ambassa-dors Ashpreet Kaur Sudan ,Sanjeevani Bhardwaaj, Khushi bhardwaj, Shivya Gandotra and Ayushi Sharma also aided well to the event.
