Continue to drive against drug menace and drug awareness. Range Police Headquarters Jammu organised Group Discussion Program on the theme of 1. Drug Abuse and Crime Co-Relation 2. Drug Abuse & its ill impacts on body & family today in which 10 students of Govt. Degree College Marh participated.
The said Program was conducted under Civic Action Programme 2023-2024 in Govt. Degree College Marh of district Jammu under the aegis of Dr.Sunil Gupta-IPS, DIG Jammu-Samba-Kathua Range and overall supervision of Staff officer to DIG Jammu Sh. Rajinder Singh Katoch, SSP. The Program started with the warm welcome of the Chief guest Staff officer to DIG Jammu Sh. Rajinder Singh Katoch, SSP and guest of Honour Principal GDC Marh Dr. R.K. Koul, SP Rural Jammu Sh. Brijesh Sharma, Smt. Minakshi Sumbriya, Drug De-Addiction Councellor from Health department, SDPO Domana Sh. Mudassir and Dy.SP RPHQ Jammu Sh. Jatinder Singh.
In a group discussion all the participants delivered their very valuable views on the said theme. In cross questioning session dignitaries from Police and Health Department answered the questions of participants/staff related to group discussion topics. Chiefguest of the program and Principal GDC Marh also shared their crucial views to students as a token of valuable guidance. Principal GDC Marh, thanked J&K Police for organising such a program in GDC Marh and again thanked to SSP Rajinder Singh Katoch, SP Rural Brijesh Sharma, SDPO Domana Mudassir, Smt. Minakshi Sumbriya for sharing knowledgeable information related to drug awareness and bad effects of drugs.
Chief guest of the event Sh. Rajinder Singh Katoch, SSP briefed that youth is the future of the society, youth should stay away from the drugs and put their energy in sports, studies, cultural activities and positive approach. Making very clear Judgements Jury Members Ms. Tanu Sharma, Prof. Anita Kumari, Dr. Sheetal Devi declared first position to Gourav Kumar, second to Vivek Sharma and third position to Prerna Balgotra. SSP Rajinder Singh Katoch, Principal GDC Marh, SP Rural Jammu, SDPO Domana, DySP RPHQ distributed Cash Prize to Participants who achieved 1st, 2nd & 3rd Position and congratulated all the participated students for their efforts.
Staff and Students of GDC Marh, appreciated the Jammu & Kashmir Police for organising such a Program. On the ocassion Team CAP of RPHQ, Jammu ASI Tarsem Lal, HC Kashmir Singh, SgCt. Sudesh Sharma, Shashi Pal and Surjeet Singh and in staff of GDC Marh Dr. Ashu Jolly, Dr. Ram Dayal, Dr. Balwinder Saini, Prof. Asha Kumari, Prof. Sachin Bhagat, were also present in the venue for smooth functioning of the Program. At the end of the programme Principal GDC Marh honoured dignitaries of Police and Health Department with Momento and vote of thanks given by Prof. Asha Kumari.
