Deputy Commissioner Doda, Harvinder Singh, led a comprehensive meeting to assess the progress of NABARD funded projects coming up across the district.
Held in the Mini Hall of the DC office complex in Doda, the meeting focused on construction works, particularly roads and irrigation systems, funded by NABARD.
Key officials and officers attended the meeting, including ADCs, SE R&B Circle Doda, SDMs from Thathri, Gandoh, and Assar, CMO Doda, CAO, XEN from PWD (R&B), and District Manager NABARD.
During the meeting, discussions centered on the status of ongoing projects, with particular attention to the execution of works and the timely submission of bills and project information. The DC stressed the importance of completing the execution works on time and directed officials to ensure prompt submission of bills. It was noted that there are 13 sanctioned projects under NABARD, primarily focusing on road connectivity under the R&B department. Looking ahead, the DC instructed the SDMs to conduct review meetings to assess NABARD projects in their respective areas and emphasized the need for monthly meetings to expedite project progress.
Additionally, three new projects under NABARD have been approved for the district this year. With a total of 37 projects under NABARD, including 13 yet to be grounded, the DC underscored the importance of adhering to stipulated timelines for project commencement.
In line with ensuring public welfare and infrastructure development, discussions included the establishment of a testing lab for Rajmaash quality testing across the district.
The DC instructed officials to identify suitable land for the lab’s construction. Furthermore, the involvement of SDMs in developmental works was encouraged, highlighting a collaborative approach to project execution and monitoring. The meeting also reviewed the physical and financial progress of NABARD projects across different divisions, reflecting a comprehensive assessment of ongoing efforts and future plans for infrastructure development in Doda district.
