Three Days assessment camp organises by Composite Regional Centre Jammu

The Composite Regional Centre for Skill Development, Rehabilitation & Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (CRC) Samba – Jammu, Under PDUNIPPD, Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities, Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Government of India, proudly announces the successful inauguration of Three Days Assessment Camp (6 to 8 Feb, 2024) for Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) on February 6th, 2024.
Under the able guidance of Dr.Rohnika Sharma, Director of CRC Samba – Jammu, the assessment camp aimed to provide comprehensive evaluations and support services to individuals with disabilities. The camp, was inaugurated by chief guest Ms.Sheetal Nanda IAS, Commissioner Secretary of the Social Welfare Department, Jammu & Kashmir.
The assessment camp witnessed the active participation of individuals with disabilities, their families, and representatives from government agencies, healthcare professionals, and non-profit organizations. Through a series of assessments and consultations, the camp facilitated personalized interventions and support mechanisms to enhance the well-being and inclusion of PWDs within society. Ms.Sheetal Nanda, IAS lauded the efforts of CRC Samba – Jammu and reiterated the government’s steadfast commitment to advancing the rights and opportunities of PWDs in Jammu & Kashmir. She commended the collaborative spirit demonstrated during the assessment camp and underscored the importance of collective action in creating a more inclusive and barrier-free society.
Dr.Rohnika Sharma, Director of CRC Samba – Jammu, expressed her heartfelt gratitude to all stakeholders for their unwavering support and commitment towards the empowerment of PWDs. She emphasized the center’s dedication to promoting accessibility, equality, and dignity for all individuals, irrespective of their abilities The success of the assessment camp reaffirms CRC Samba – Jammu’s pledge to continue its efforts in advocating for the rights and empowerment of PWDs. By fostering partnerships and leveraging resources, the centre remains steadfast in its mission to create a more equitable and accessible environment for all members of society.
