The recent robust initiative by the Jammu Power Distribution Corporation Limited (JPDCL) to disconnect illegal power connections and recover outstanding payments has undoubtedly underscored the corporation’s commitment to financial prudence. In a move to crack down on ‘illegal’ power connections and recover outstanding payments, the Jammu Power Distribution Corporation Limited (JPDCL) has successfully disconnected 1702 defaulters, generating significant revenue within a span of just two days. The targeted disconnection of defaulting consumers, including influential entities such as industries, hotels, and prominent individuals, aims to create awareness about the importance of clearing electricity bill liabilities promptly. The Spokesperson for JPDCL reported a total of 49,028 inspections, covering various circles in the Jammu Division, with a notable 1411 inspections in Jammu Division. Additionally, a commendable 432 KW load was successfully added across the ten districts of Jammu Province. This rigorous crackdown is part of JPDCL’s ongoing efforts to combat energy theft and rectify financial irregularities.
