jammu:The Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, and Other Backward Class Organizations paid rich tributes to PhD scholar Rohith Vemula, Dr. Payal Tadvi, and Prof. Chander Shekhar. All these are victims of institutional murder. They were tortured, harassed, and forced to take extreme steps of suicide. SC, ST, OBC communities paid tributes to these victims. The families of these victims have suffered a lot. They are still in hope that justice will be delivered to them, but justice delayed is justice denied. The students, scholars, professors belonging to SC, ST, OBC communities are tortured, harassed, and are forced to take extreme steps.
While addressing the media persons, Sham Lal Basson said that Dr. Ritu Singh, who was selected as an Assistant professor at Daulat Ram College of Delhi University, was terminated after one year for no fault of her own.
The matter was brought to the honorable court. Dr. Savita Roy submitted a fake report of students. We were hopeful action would be taken against Savita Roy, but Dr. Ritu Singh was detained, the tent was removed, and belongings of Dr. Ritu Singh and other protestors were removed by Delhi police. Prof. Laxman Yadav was terminated after 14 years of service. Dr. Ritu Singh and Prof. Laxman Yadav were harassed, but they are determined to fight with the system. Dr. Ritu Singh is a bold Bahujan daughter.
A protest demonstration was held at Dr. B R Ambedkar Chowk, Jammu, to extend support to Dr. Ritu Singh and Prof. Laxman Yadav. While speaking on this occasion, Madam Sunita Bangotra said that all Bahujan organizations extend full support to Dr. Ritu Singh and Prof. Laxman Yadav and all those Ambedkarite scholars, professors who are fighting for the implementation of constitutional rights and against atrocities on SC, ST, OBCs. Madam Krishna Bangotra, Savita Dhupper, Neelam Sambyal, Veena Kundal addressed the gathering and said that all SC, ST, OBC organizations of JKUT extend full support to Dr. Ritu Singh, Prof. Laxman Yadav, and other Ambedkarites who are fighting for the rights of Bahujans.
Adv. Anil Boudh and his associates addressed the gathering and warned all those Bahujans who have taken benefits of reservation but are not contributing towards the movement of Baba Saheb for the implementation of constitutional rights in letter and spirit. Our sons/daughters can be the next victims like Dr. Payal Tadvi, Rohit Vemula, and Prof. Chander Shekhar.
