Yudhvir Sethi, Vice President of J&K Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), and programme convenor for events related to Swachhta Sankalp on Pran Pratishtha of Shree Ram idol at Ayodhya, today announced the commencement of a comprehensive cleanliness campaign as Swachhta Sankalp, in preparation for the upcoming consecration ceremony of the Ram Temple. This initiative will cover all temples, pilgrimage centres, and various religious sites throughout the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
The announcement was made during a press conference held at Party Headquarters in Jammu, where Yudhvir Sethi addressed the media alongside ex-MLC Ch. Vikram Randhawa and other senior leaders of the Party.
Yudhvir Sethi said that the cleanliness campaign, from January 14 to 22, is aligned with the BJP’s nationwide initiative and reflects the party’s commitment to cultural and environmental stewardship. The campaign aims to encourage citizens to actively participate in maintaining religious spaces, fostering a cleaner and healthier environment.
Highlighting the significance of the upcoming consecration ceremony of Ram Lalla in the newly built temple in Ayodhya on January 22, Yudhvir Sethi expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the historic accomplishment after 500 years of struggle and determination. He emphasized Prime Minister Modi’s call for citizens to initiate cleanliness drives in their local temples, especially for those who may not be able to participate in the main event.
