NDS felicitates Prof.B.S.BALI Classical Maestro on its foundation day

Nami Dogri Sanstha (NDS) celebrated its 26th Foundation Day in a simple but impressive function . Prof. B.S.Bali Renowned Classical Maestro and Former Principal Institute Of Music And Fine Arts Jammu was Honoured and Conferred with Sanstha Samaan “Sangeet Kalashree Nipun” who is disciple and associate of famous Classical Singer Bhim Sen Joshi Ji and after 66 Years of Association with Music he is still pursuaing the art with full devotion at the age of 83 Years .
Prof.K.L.Bhatia Ex- HOD Law Department Jammu University was Chief Guest on the occasion whereas Padamdshri Jatinder Udhampuri Sahitya Academy Awardee and Ex- Director All India Radio Presided over the function .
A.Q.Manhas Ex-Inspector General of Police was Special Guest and Prof.Nirmal Vinod Renowned Hindi and Dogri Writer and Sahitya Academy Awardee participated as Guest of Honour .
Rakesh Sharma HOD Fine Arts Jammu was Special Invitee .
Prof.Anupama Sharma Patron NDS and Advocate Dogra Harish Kaila President NDS Capt. Lalit Sharma Convenor NDS shared the dias . The disciples of Bali Sahib attended the Programme .
At the very outset guests were welcomed with flower bouquets and sweets were distributed to mark the 26th Foundation Day of NDS .
Son of the soil Shri Prof. B.S Bali Ex-Principal Institute of Music & Fine Arts , Renowned Classical Mastaero and Celebrated Teacher was confered with Sanstha Award ” Sangeet Kalashri Nipun ” and Presented with Momento , Shawl and Citation for his long outstanding contributions in the field of Music
Capt.Lalit Sharma Convener NDS read a Crisp Paper on the life and works of Prof. B.S.Bali and said that NDS has emerged as a movement to propagate Dogri Language and Duggar Culture which has strived all along its Journey of 26 Years to inculcate pride in Dogras towards Dogri Language and Duggar Culture and made efforts to unite the Dogras through the medium of Art and Culrure .
Prof.K.L.Bhatia lauded the role of NDS and for continuous efforts of NDS for the cause of Dogri . He said that the unity of our country lies in her diversity and therefore , there is need to strengthen our diverse cultures and observed that NDS is playing its positive role in this direction .
Jatinder Udhampuri said that the Duggar History is old and rich in all its dimensions viz Social , Cultural , Military or spiritual and as such Dogras have reasons to be proud of their rich heritage .
A.Q.Manhas said that secular credentials of Duggar have stood test of the time and the societies have lot to learn from this. He appreciated the literary endeavours of NDS .
Prof Nirmal Vinod while lauding NDS said that NDS should focus on connecting our youth and children towards Dogri and rich Duggar Culture to infuse a sense of pride in them .
Prof. Rakesh Sharma said that fine arts brighten our outlook and soothen our faculties to make us meaningful and proud citizens. He said efforts of NDS in this direction are appreciable.
Prof. Anupama Sharma said that that NDS is looking forward to use Music as a meaningful tool to popularise Dogri especialy with our Younger Generations as Music is a strong medium to boost and popularise any language .

Advocate Dogra Harish Kaila reiterated the resolve of NDS to proudly connect our children with Dogri and Duggar heritage .
Rajini Sharma conducted the proceedings in a Professional and Impressive manner. Dr.Sushil Bhola Executive Member NDS extended vote of thanks.
