GDC Chatroo celebrates Viksit Bharat Initiative- A Vision for India’s Development till 2047

Government Degree College Chatroo celebrated “Viksit Bharat” initiative, a comprehensive development program initiated by the Indian government under the esteemed guidance of College Principal Prof. (Dr.) Ved Kumar. The event witnessed active participation of 50 enthusiastic students.
The “Viksit Bharat” initiative, aimed at transforming India by 2047, aligns with the vision of comprehensive growth across sectors, fostering inclusivity, and positioning India as a global leader.
Commencing with lighting of the ceremonial lamp by Principal Prof. (Dr.) Ved Kumar, the event featured a captivating extension lecture by Dr. Haqnawaz Ahmad, a Political Science lecturer at GDC Chatroo.
Dr. Haqnawaz, in his insightful discourse, shed light on the importance of Viksit Bharat and the pivotal role citizens can play in achieving its ambitious goals by 2047. Emphasizing India’s path towards developed nation status, Dr. Haqnawaz highlighted key areas such as per capita income, education, infrastructure, healthcare, and more, urging attendees to conscientiously contribute towards the nation’s advancement.
Dr. Mohd Inam Ul Haq, another distinguished speaker, emphasized the fundamental pillars of honesty, dedication, cleanliness, and commitment to social services that the youth must embrace within the context of Viksit Bharat 2047.
The initiative by Government Degree College Chatroo exemplifies the institution’s dedication towards fostering social awareness and empowering its academic community beyond conventional academics.
Prof. (Dr.) Ved Kumar reiterated the significance of Viksit Bharat, underscoring its multidimensional approach encompassing policy reforms and progressive policies for economic growth and social development.
Expressing satisfaction over the event’s turnout and enthusiasm displayed by the speakers, Prof. (Dr.) Ved Kumar acknowledged the contributions of Dr. Haqnawaz and Dr. Inam, highlighting the importance of such awareness programs in nurturing responsible citizens. The program’s coordination was led by Prof. Ajeet Kumar, with a vote of thanks delivered by Prof. M.M Mattoo.
Faculty members present during the occasion included Dr. Ather Hussain, Prof. Musarat Mattoo, and Dr. Vikram Rathore.
