Senior BJP leader and former Councillor of Ward 20, Rahul Kumar today conducted a site inspection of the ongoing water pipe laying project at D/C Block, Jammu. The project covers the Gandhi Nagar main road and aims to significantly improve water supply in the area.
After inspecting the ongoing development work, the former Councillor emphasized the project’s alignment with the Government of India’s ambitious Jal Jeevan Mission, which aims to provide safe and adequate drinking water to every rural household by 2024. He applauded the efforts of the Jal Shakti Department in implementing this important initiative in Jammu and Kashmir.
Highlighting the “Har Ghar Nal Se Gal” vision, Rahul Kumar reaffirmed the Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) commitment to providing basic amenities like clean water to all residents of Jammu and Kashmir. He expressed confidence that the successful completion of this project will improve the lives of citizens in D/C Block and surrounding areas. “The new water pipes are expected to address long-standing concerns about water scarcity and insufficient pressure in D/C Block. The project will not only ensure consistent water supply but also improve its quality, contributing to the overall health and well-being of the community,” he said.
Kumar emphasized the importance of community engagement and feedback in ensuring the effectiveness of such projects. He encouraged residents to actively participate in monitoring the work and report any issues to the concerned authorities.
State Executive Member Rikki Gupta, Assistant Executive Engineer (AEE) PHE, Assistant Engineer (AE), Junior Engineer (JE), and other officials were present.
