The Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra (VBSY) reached a significant milestone in Kishtwar District by completing coverage of 116 connected Panchayats in District Kishtwar today.
Thousands of the populace in all the 13 blocks thronged the Yatra which speaks loud about the success of the VBSY in the district.
The role of Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar Dr Devansh Yadav along with Block Level and panchayat level field functionaries along with PRIs was pivotal throughout the journey of the VBSY in the district.
Initiated as a mega Awareness Campaign by the Union Government, this comprehensive endeavor aimed to enlighten and inform the populace about the Citizen Centric Schemes (CSS) and flagship initiatives through an array of impactful activities. The ambitious odyssey ended with the arrival of the Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) Van at the remaining Loidhar A Panchayat of Block Mughal Maidan and Pochhal B1 & Pochhal B2 of Block Kishtwar.
The Van acted as a catalyst, disseminating the Prime Minister’s message among the local communities.
At each location, the Yatra was warmly welcomed by the people and Panchayati Raj Institutions (PRIs), emphasizing the resonance of this initiative within the grassroots.
Elevating the spirit of the Yatra were the testimonials of beneficiaries sharing the benefits derived from CSSs during the ‘Meri Kahani Meri Zubani’.
Furthermore, the vibrant cultural performances under ‘Dharti Kahe Pukar Ke’ accentuated the emphasis on cultural unity, considered a pivotal precursor to a Developed India. The Yatra also facilitated on-the-spot services, ensuring the comprehensive saturation of CSS such as PMAY, PM Ujjwala, Ayushman Bharat Golden Card, among others, in each Panchayat, catering to the unreached segments of society.
In a bid to promote holistic well-being, special health camps were conducted, focusing on screening for TB, Sickle Cell, and Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs), underscoring the Yatra’s commitment to community health.
The Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra stands as a testament to the government’s dedication to grassroots empowerment and holistic development, fostering awareness, inclusivity, and the embodiment of a progressive India under India@2047 vision.
