Deputy Commissioner Sachin Kumar Vaishya today presided over a meeting to assess the progress of PMGSY roads in the district.
The DC highlighted the significance of prioritising the completion of these roads for rural socio-economic development of rural communities. Acknowledging the hurdles posed by forest areas in road construction, the DC urged officials to find efficient solutions to overcome the obstacles.
Asking for timely project completion, the DC issued strict directives to the concerned officers to adhere to set timelines and quality parameters. In a dedicated push for swift progress, the DC urged officials to eliminate bottlenecks and ensure the completion of projects before the onset of peak winters and snowfall.
“Our focus is on enhancing rural connectivity and PMGSY projects play a vital role in achieving this goal. Let’s work together to overcome challenges and ensure timely completion for the benefit of our rural communities,” he said.
The meeting was attended by officers including SE PMGSY, XEN PMGSY, DFO Jammu and Chief Planning Officer Uttam Singh.
