In a significant development for education and spiritual growth, S J P Singh Retd IPS, alongside prominent figures like S Manjit Singh, S Balvinder Vice President DGPC Jammu, S T P Singh, S Rajinder Singh Sudan, S Janak Singh, and S Jatinder Singh Ex Vice Chairman Cantonment Board, addressed the press conference to highlight the upcoming inauguration of Sant Bhai Khushal Singh Gurmat Vidyalya & Khoj Khendra (Educational Research Centre) at Marh Bagh on December 9th. The Gurmat Vidyalya, nestled in a spacious land with captivating natural surroundings, is equipped with hostel facilities. This Educational Research Centre is a commendable initiative aiming to provide free CBSE education along with religious studies, particularly delving into the knowledge of Sri Guru Granth Sahib. The focus is on underprivileged children in 6th, 7th, 8th, and 9th grades, managed by Sant Puta Danna Charitable Trust at Domana.
The overarching goal of the research center is to nurture eminent scholars and researchers of Sikh ideology, emphasizing humanity and the oneness of mankind. The educational and spiritual guidance will be facilitated by learned Parcharaks, historians, and renowned religious personalities, ensuring a holistic and enriching learning experience.
The inaugural function, scheduled for December 9th, will witness the presence of distinguished guests, including Advocate S Harjinder Singh Dhami, President Shiromani Gurudwara Parbhandak Committee Amritsar (SGPC), and S Rajinder Singh Mehta, Gen Secretary SGPC Amritsar. Their participation symbolizes the broader support and recognition of the initiative within the Sikh community. The SGSD charitable trust urges the civil society of Jammu and Kashmir Union Territory and community members to attend the inaugural ceremony from 11.30 AM to 3 PM on December 9th, contributing to making the event a grand success. The dedication of the Gurmat Centre to the community is a momentous occasion, symbolizing a commitment to educational empowerment and spiritual enrichment. Guru Ka Langar will be served during the event, emphasizing the spirit of community and shared values.
