Block Diwas: Series of comprehensive outreach programs held in Rural Doda

The District Administration Doda today orchestrated a series of comprehensive outreach programs spanning various parts of the district here as part of the weekly Block Diwas.
Aimed at fostering a direct dialogue between the administration and the public, these gatherings provided a platform for local residents to voice their concerns and issues. The events, held at multiple locations including Ghati Mor Park, Bhalra, Block Bhaderwah, Sub District Bhaderwah; Panchayat Gandoh, Block Gandoh, Sub Division Gandoh; Block Headquarter Assar, Sub Division Assar; and Government Higher Secondary School Halaran, Sub Division Thathri, witnessed substantial participation.
The principal focus of these deliberations was to collate and address the genuine grievances raised by community members. Led by Deputy Commissioner Harvinder Singh, along with various district officers and officials, these sessions saw the active involvement of local dignitaries like DDC Chairman Doda Dhananter Singh Kotwal, BDC Chairman Omi Chand and BDO Bhaderwah, among others.
The discussions encompassed a spectrum of concerns, notably emphasizing the potential for tourism in the Jae Valley of Bhaderwah and the impending inauguration of the Kendriya Vidyalaya at Kulsari village.
Issues spanning infrastructure development, ranging from dysfunctional transformers and water supply problems to the upgradation of Schools and Health care institutions, were fervently discussed. The Deputy Commissioner directed pertinent departments such as PHE, PDD, Jal Shakti, and PWD to expedite the resolution of these challenges. Furthermore, the DDC Chairman Dhanter Singh affirmed the commitment to accomplish pending plans in the upcoming year through synchronized efforts between the district administration and the DDC council.
At Block Divas events held at different locales, the active participation of the public, PRIs, sarpanchs, panches and BDC representatives underscored the community’s eagerness to engage with local governance. The program sought to streamline governance mechanisms, ensuring that the government’s services and benefits swiftly reach the populace, thereby fostering a more responsive administration aligned with the needs of the community.
