Jammu and Kashmir BJP general secretary and former minister Dr.Devinder Kumar Manyal, while reacting to the assertion of NC Vice-President and former CM, that BJP won’t get even 10 seats in J&K Assembly elections, said that the ground work will itself show as to who will be gainer or loser in the assembly elections in the UT. Dr. Devinder Kumar Manyal said that like other parts of the country, the political graph of BJP is very high in Jammu and Kashmir UT, it has become a strong force and will surely win 50+ seats in the future assembly elections and form government here. The firm belief of the BJP to win 50+ seats arises from various factors, particularly the party’s commitment for real development and welfare of masses under Narendra Modi government, which has flooded J&K with numerous projects in different sectors and countless schemes meant for the socio-economic upliftment of every section of the society. Sabka saath, sabka vikas, sabka vishwas working line of BJP government under Prime Minister Narendra Modi has, during the last about ten years, made every region and section realise that the party is genuinely concerned and committed for overall development of one and all across the entire length and breadth of the UT, like other parts of the country.
Dr. Manyal reminded the former Chief Minister that the track record of BJP in J&K shows that the party had, once, single MLA, later it got success in 11 assembly seats and in the last election, it moved ahead and won 25 seats, and winning more than 50 seats in future will come true as BJP has always improved its tally in successive elections.
“The BJP’s claim of winning record number of seats is going to be achieved with the massive polling in its favour as the voters have very well seen the rule of not only NC but Congress and PDP also and are going to teach these parties lesson with the stroke of their votes for injustice and discrimination meted out to them”, he said and added that it is the people who will defeat the NC and further strengthen BJP in the UT and provide an opportunity to form government with thumping majority.
The BJP general secretary said that the growing popularity of BJP, has, actually shocked the NC leadership and they are finding it difficult to face the people. Having turned issueless and nothing to claim asu achievement, the NC leaders find it easy to keep targeting the BJP to mislead the people but will gain nothing. The false and misleading propaganda of NC will only expose and harm it politically, he said.
He said that the NC will have to explain to the people as to why daughters of the soil were deprived of rights on marrying outside the state, why the west Pakistan refugees were not granted citizenship rights for seventy years, what were the achievements of Congress in health, education sectors, did NC brought any IIT, IIM, district level Medial College for J&K.
He said that under BJP rule, J&K got prestigious power projects, it witnessed expansion and modernisation of road, rail, air connectivity, express ways. The BJP government restored peace, induced sense of security among the people, provided an atmosphere for tourist flow and what not.
The BJP leader expressed hope that NC leaders will rise to the occasion, accept their misdeeds and also accept the hard reality that the coming elections of assembly will make BJP single largest party by winning more than 50 seats as the people want real development, welfare, peace, security and not mere slogans and false allegations.
