Police organises PCPG meetings

Continuing its unwavering efforts to bridge the gap between police & public, Police in Handwara facilitated a Police Community Partnership Group meeting (PCPG) at PS Town Hall Handwara. The meeting was chaired by SSP Handwara accompanied by other Police officers of PD Handwara. The meeting attended by Numberdars, Chowkidars respectable citizens & members of Auqaf Committees etc. On the occasion, participants highlighted various issues of public importance. All the gradiences were heard by the chairing officer and were segregated on the basis of area of action and jurisdiction. The participants were assured that all the grievances pertaining to Police Department will be dealt as per the law and grievances laying outside the domain of police department will be taken up with the concerned authorities under laid down procedure. The participants were also stressed to co-operate with Police in maintaining law and order in the area and in identifying anti-national and anti-social elements who always try to disrupt the peaceful environment.
The participants in the meeting assured their full co-operation to Police in tackling social evils and also appreciated the efforts of Police in facilitating community interaction meets where participants express their opinions freely.

The meetings were chaired by the respective jurisdictional officers and were attended by Numberdars, Chowkidars respectable citizens & members of Auqaf Committees of these areas.
