On the momentous occasion of the 75th NCC Raising Day, the 2 J&K Battalion NCC in Jammu, operating under the aegis of NCC GP Jammu of Jammu Kashmir and Ladakh Directorate, orchestrated a profoundly moving Wreath Laying Ceremony at the revered Balidaan Stambh. This poignant and solemn event held tremendous significance as it sought to honor and pay homage to the unparalleled valor and sacrifices of our brave soldiers who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our nation.
The ceremonial proceedings were solemnly carried out in the presence of esteemed dignitaries, including Brig VK Sharma, VSM, Deputy Director General (DDG) of JK&L Directorate, and Col Shajan Thomas, Officiating Group Commander Jammu GP. Alongside them were officers from the Jammu GP, dedicated staff members, and a gathering of NCC cadets, all standing together in solidarity to honor the supreme sacrifices of our soldiers.
The Balidaan Stambh, serving as a poignant symbol of bravery and sacrifice, witnessed a series of reverential gestures as participants laid wreaths with utmost reverence.

Following the Wreath Laying Ceremony, a profound moment of silence lasting for 2 minutes paid homage to the gallantry and sacrifices of our fallen heroes. The event culminated with the resonating chant of the NCC Song, an anthem echoing the ethos and spirit of the organization, culminating in the fervent declaration of “Bharat Mata Ki Jai.”
