The video of two Manipur women being paraded naked has triggered massive outrage with Opposition leaders demanding the President’s Rule to be imposed in the state and the sacking of Chief Minister Biren Singh. Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) chief Sharad Pawar on Thursday urged the government to take strict action over the matter. Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Priyanka Chaturvedi has also hit out at Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Women & Child Welfare Development Minister Smriti Irani and said that this will be the first issue to be raised at Parliament today.

AIMIM MP Asaduddin Owaisi took a jibe at the Centre and said that the PM was compelled to react to the video because it has become viral now. He then said that genocide is going on there.

Samajwadi Party MP Ram Gopal Yadav said that one section of Manipur doesn’t trust the CM hence peace can’t be established. He then launched an attack on PM Modi and said that he gives good speeches but will not speak about what is happening in the country.
