DDC Kishtwar lays foundation stones for various projects

District Development Commissioner (DDC) Kishtwar, Angrez Singh Rana laid a series of foundation stones in Paddar Valley of district Kishtwar for the construction of various projects. The construction work includes Alpine Hut at Machail Paddar with an estimated cost of 93.09 lakhs, Re-construction of unsafe Sarai Building at Tata Pani Paddar with an estimated cost of Rs. 42.00 lakhs and construction of Sapphire Guest House at Gulabgarh, Paddar with an estt. cost of Rs.171.00 lakhs besides foundation stone laid for ornamental construction of passenger shed at Gulabgarh and toilet complex at Machail. Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC), Kishtwar, Pawan Kumar Parihar, Sub – Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Paddar, Varunjeet Singh Charak, XEN PWD (R&B) Mohinder Kumar Kumar, Tehsildar Machail and Paddar, SDPO Paddar, AEE PWD (R&B), besides concerned officers were also present on the occasion. The Alpine Hut, Sapphire Guest House and Re-construction of unsafe Sarai Building which is to be constructed at an estimated cost of Rs 93.09 lakhs, Rs.171.00 lakhs and Rs. 42.00 lacs respectively will comprise of modern bedrooms, dinning and drawing hall, bathrooms and other amenities to facilitate tourists visiting the Machail and Gulabgarh Paddar in which the executing agency is PWD (R&B) Department, Division Kishtwar. Speaking on the occasion, the DDC said that the Alpine hut, Sapphire Guest house and Sarai building are aimed to provide best facilities and comfort to yatris/ tourists/pilgrims who visit to see the scenic natural beauty of Paddar, Machail, Gulabgarh, Tatapani and also visit Machail for paying rich obeisance at Machail Mata temple. DDC informed that all the three assets will be constructed under Royality by making judicious use of funds as the amount under royality deposited by the heli companies during Annual Machail Mata Yatra. He further said govt is committed to take all necessary measures to develop the scenic spots with all necessary infrastructure facilities for visiting tourists/pilgrims. Enroute, at Tatapani Paddar he met with general public wherein the general public raised various issues and demands like compensation of land under road, creation of footpath, augumentation of drainage system., establishing of health centre at Tatapani, wherein DDC gave a patient hearing to their genuine demands and direction were passed to Tehsildar, Paddar to redress their genuine issues in a phased manner and submit report according. Enroute, he also met with students of the Gualabgarh Paddar and discussed the issue pertaining to their ongoing education and availablity of teaching staff, DDC appealed the students to continue study with full swing and dedication and strive for strengtheing the social and rich cultural diversity of nation. He stated that students are torch bearers upon which the foundations of a nation rests. He directed teaching faculty to ensure imparting of quality education to the students. He further urged the students to keep away from drug menance and other evil things. He asked to adopt sports activities besides reading books of good authors as their hobby and leisure. At Machail the general public apprised the DDC that the present ISM dispensary is working in a private building which needs to be shifted in a nearby govt school building presently lying vacant. He also enquired the same with the concern authorities of medical department present their in the medical camp, Machail regarding availability of essential medicines and staff. He directed SDM Paddar to keep close vigil on sanitation , necessary yatra arrangements, fare charges for tents/rooms and heli services for pilgrims/devotees of Machail Yatra -2019. Later, DDC along with district officers paid obeisance to the holy deity Machail Mata and prayed for peace development and prosperity of the state and district Kishtwar in particular.
